Presentation

During the last decade technology surrounding endoscopic surgery has improved exponentially. All these improvements allowed the development of safe approaches to the upper airway, paranasal sinuses, skull base and middle ear. As pediatric ENT we all know that surgical spaces are small and difficult to approach, this is why endoscopic surgery brings an enormous advantage to the field. The ENT department of endoscopic unit of Hospital Sant Joan de Deu invites you to participate in the first Barcelona endopediatric surgery course.

Objetives

 To understand the basic knowledge of Pediatric endoscopy in ENT.
 To be able to handle endoscope properly.
 To have the basic skills for diagnostic regarding Ear, Nose and Larynx diseases.
 To know the indications, contraindication, complications and how to handle the complications.
 To be able to explain to patients and their families regarding the endoscopic process and acquire in- formed consent properly.
