DESCRIPTION:* THIS EVENT IS NOT ORGANIZED BY SBORL \n4th World Congress on EES in Kyoto to Move to December 2022\nI think that the past year-and-a-half has taught all of us around the world that nothing scheduled is set in stone! When I moved the 4th World Congress on EES in Kyoto to April 2022\, I was confident that the challenge of COVID 19 would be overcome by then\, and that international travel restrictions would be lifted. However\, the last couple of months have made me realize that that timeline was too optimistic. In light of the spread of the delta variant and increasing case numbers around the world\, I have made the decision to once again move the date of the 4th World Congress on EES in Kyoto. \nOur new date is now December 5th to the 8th of 2022. While I realize that this date is close to the end-of-the-year holiday season\, it was the best choice out of the available dates for our venue. The weather in Kyoto in early December is mild and while we will miss the Kyoto cherry blossoms\, the city should still be beautifully bathed in the fall foliage including its stunning maple trees. \nI thus ask everyone to pencil this new date and cross your fingers that we will have COVID 19 under control by then. While our conference is important to those of us in the field of endoscopic ear surgery\, it pales in importance to the good health and well-being of the world community at large. SUMMARY:1 Congreso Fundación Española de Tratamiento de Tumores de Cabeza y Cuello
DESCRIPTION:* ESTE EVENTO NO ESTÁ ORGANIZADO POR SBORL \nApreciados compañeros\, \nIniciamos un nuevo proyecto juntos. Este año hemos conseguido arrancar la nueva Fundación Española para el Tratamiento de Tumores de Cabeza y Cuello (FETTCC) y lo hemos logrado porque\, independientemente de cada una de nuestras especialidades\, tenemos un interés común que es el bienestar del paciente con cáncer de cabeza y cuello. El paciente debe ser el foco de nuestra fundación y a partir de él debemos crecer como tal. \nPor ello\, nuestro primer gran acto como grupo va a ser organizar este congreso multidisciplinar sobre el diagnóstico\, soporte y tratamiento del cáncer de cabeza y cuello los días 15 y 16 de diciembre de 2022. Todas las especialidades fundadoras vamos a trabajar codo con codo para intentar que sea el congreso más especial en el que hayáis estado. Debatiremos con pasión\, pero con respeto\, presentaremos nuestros trabajos y escucharemos los de los demás\, compartiremos experiencias diversas y al final disfrutaremos de un aprendizaje común\, que será el motor con el que queremos que funcione nuestra sociedad. \nPor tanto\, preparaos para participar. Esperamos vuestras comunicaciones\, vuestros casos clínicos y todas vuestras aportaciones durante los días de congreso. Hacerlas con la pasión que sé que tenéis por esta patología\, y defenderlas con respeto hacia la discrepancia. Juntemos el conocimiento de las diferentes especialidades para conseguir que seamos mejores en la nuestra. Que el éxito de este congreso nos permita crecer\, consolidarnos y organizar muchos más en el futuro. Que no sea esta la única hoja de nuestro árbol. \nGracias a todos los que habéis participado en los últimos años para conseguir esta nueva realidad en el panorama nacional.
