SUMMARY:CENS&BASE5 Curso de cirugía endoscópica nasosinusal avanzada y abordajes a base de cráneo
DESCRIPTION:Queridos compañeros\, \nAún quedan algunas plazas de disección disponibles para la próxima edición de CENSBASE\, que se celebrará del 28 de febrero al 3 de marzo.\nSi estas interesado en la cirugía endoscópica nasal y deseas iniciarte en la técnicas avanzadas\, esta es una oportunidad. Podrás practicar en el cadáver conservado mediante técnica de Thiel la cirugía del seno frontal desde el Draf 1 al Draf 3\, aprender a abordar la región selar\, el seno cavernoso\, la fosa infratemporal o la fosa craneal anterior. También tendrás la posibilidad de realizar los colgajos intranasales que no solo te resolverán muchos problemas\, sino que te convertirán en imprescindible para los neurocirujanos de tu hospital. Tus resultados en la cirugía básica mejorarán inmediatamente\, y tus pacientes con poliposis nasal se beneficiarán de tu progresión.\nAdemás\, asistirás a las sesiones de cirugía en directo en las que operaremos casos de interés\, buscando siempre combinar la complejidad con la utilidad para la práctica diaria.\nLas dos primeras tardes algunos de los cirujanos con más experiencia del país te pondrán al día de los fundamentos y novedades en las técnicas de cirugía endoscópica avanzada\, y podrás proponer tus propios casos a las mesas redondas que se van a celebrar\, siempre que los envíes con antelación.\nHasta que se agoten las plazas de disección\, puedes elegir entre realizar el curso íntegro o asistir únicamente al módulo teórico.\nComo todos los años\, hemos solicitado la correspondiente acreditación.\nEspero que te animes a participar y nos veamos próximamente.\nUn abrazo\, \nAlfredo García\nHospital 12 de Octubre\nMadrid\nwww.censbase.com\nPrograma

DESCRIPTION:about this event\nThis meeting will contrast relevant historical aspects of otology with the most innovative contemporary otologic surgery. \nMr Nigel Thomas\, past president of the Hunterian Society will reflect on the history of otology. Professor Daniele Marchioni from Verona is a world renowned expert in endoscopic ear surgery and will demonstrate his techniques whilst the early learning curve when starting endoscopic ear surgery and the pit falls to avoid\, are presented by Mr Mark Felton.  Mr James Tysome from Cambridge\, will present a realistic assessment of the treatment of lateral skull based tumours\, addressing the place of medications\, beam therapies and surgery.  Professor Shak Saeed\, professor of skull base surgery\, the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital\, will teach on his unique experience in auditory brain stem implants. \nobjectives\n\nLearn some important history from the talk\, ‘Reflections on the History of Otology’\nHave an understanding of how to acquire the newer skills of endoscopic ear surgery\nHave witnessed a master class of advanced endoscopic ear surgery\nBe familiarised with oncological beam therapies\, medical treatment and the case for surgery in lateral skull based tumours\nBe informed about the indications for auditory brain stem implants; current limitations and future prospects\n\n  \nRegister for this event
