SUMMARY:Advances in Rhinoplasty Meeting in Chicago
DESCRIPTION:In rhinoplasty\, the learning is never complete\, just as the final result of a rhinoplasty is never final. Every piece of information from experienced surgeons will have value to you. I think that is why these bits of experience are called nuggets or pearls\, they have to the rhinoplasty surgeon a mental value as precious as metal or gemstones have a physical value. I can honestly say\, I have not returned home from one of these meetings empty handed. \n \nThis year\, the theme of the 2017 Advances in Rhinoplasty Meeting is the «World of Rhinoplasty.» There will be faculty from many countries imparting knowledge from vastly different experiences. This past year I have been to rhinoplasty meetings in London\, Germany\, and the Netherlands—and just this past weekend\, I watched – by Skype – surgeons operating in Iran and broadcasting to a meeting in New Jersey. I learned a lot. You need to know what is happening everywhere in the world of rhinoplasty. \n \nPerhaps\, one of the most compelling reasons to attend the 2017 Advances in Rhinoplasty Meeting is to see old friends and meet new ones\, as you discuss rhinoplasty at a grassroots level\, bringing your difficult cases to ask for advice or get more details of a lecture you have just heard. \n \nAnd lastly\, Chicago in May beckons. Having lived in the Windy City for 8 years during my training\, I can say with certainty that May is one of the best months in the weather calendar for the city.
